Right at the heart of the city of Hamburg is the modern fair site of HMC (Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH), the meeting point and communication platform for decision makers and experts from all parts of the world.
This modern fair site is one of the most advanced in Europe, with its characteristic façade and its large exhibition halls, giving a total of 87,000 m² of space at a location in the centre of the city.

Travelling to the venue by air
From Hamburg Airport, 69 airlines fly directly to 18 national and 98 international destinations. It is situated to the north of the city in Fuhlsbüttel. See the Hamburg Airport website for flight connections.
Hamburg Messe can be reached from here by S-Bahn (S1) and taxi. The journey time by car is about 20 minutes, by public transport about 25 minutes.
Travelling to the venue by rail
Dammtor mainline station is just a few steps away. It links the Hamburg Hamburg directly with the mainline rail network of Deutsche Bahn, including ICE high-speed trains, thus connecting it with the international rail system. It is only 8 minutes’ walk from Dammtor station to the East Entrance, and only 10 minutes from the Central Entrance. Alternatively, you can get to the Central or West Entrance from Dammtor by taking S-Bahn S11, S21 or S31 to Sternschanze (one station).
If you arrive at Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), it is only one station from there to Dammtor station (for the East Entrance), by S-Bahn S21 (towards Elbgaustrasse). That is just two minutes on the train. From there you can have the same alternatives to get to the Fair.

If you come to Hamburg Messe by car or motor bike, it is best to take the motorways and exits shown under "Motorway travel". Then follow the signs to "Messe / CCH".
Travelling the venue by public transport
Hamburg Mese has good bus and rail connections with all the key areas of Hamburg. With an extensive network of rapid transit (S-Bahn) and underground (U-Bahn) lines, plus plenty of bus lines. Hamburg Messe is easy to reach from any part of the city, thanks to its good transport connections and central location.
Dammtor station is in walking distance, for InterCity trains and S-Bahn.
