A Cosmopolitan City

The Netherlands is bordered by Germany and Belgium, has very good sea links and is within a short hop of France and the UK. It offers a stable and advanced environment for business, and is home to the headquarters of many global companies. An extensive, reliable transport network

Holland is a densely populated country with an excellent rail, road, water and air transportation infrastructure. It is possible to reach any point in the country in a matter of hours and reach any location in the world via Schiphol or one of Holland’s other major airports. Amsterdam itself has an excellent train, tram, metro and bus network offering fast, low-cost travel in and around Amsterdam.

Holland’s multi-cultural history and accessible geographic location make for a very internationally minded people. Just about everyone in the capital speaks fluent English and visitors are given a warm welcome.

An open-minded and tolerant culture

From the Golden Age to the modern global economy, Amsterdam is a city built on a proud history of commerce. Today’s Amsterdam is business-minded and accessible, with an open and tolerant culture borne of centuries of international exploration, trade and co-operation with other nations.

Today, clean and quiet, its gabled town houses, peaceful canals, elegant bridges and cobbled streets are a world away from the stress of other major European cities.
